Hi! I have to tell you something…
Of course, I am here to launch my business, sell my online courses, get my academy known, and build connections. You'll find me doing the usual creator stuff—posting regularly, sharing my "TOP10 Apps I can't live without", and grabbing your attention with click bates and catchy headlines.
But, I want a Safe Space to share my personal, authentic journey as a small business owner with ups and downs, disappointments, and wins, with all I got.
Deskless Confessions — that's the new name of my Newsletter.{You can sign up here}
As I was writing this text, which I might end up as the first Newsletter, I realized there was a confession to make about the Newsletter itself, making me rethink the title.
Don’t worry; you’ll still be getting remote work and AI insights.
First, Why newsletters?
Well, it's a trend that really picked up during 2020. I love writing, and newsletters seem like a great outlet, even though I don't have an email list (confession #1)
I'm an avid newsletter reader, and I've noticed most successful creators have one. So, one day, while reading a newsletter on LinkedIn, I saw this shiny blue button: Create A Newsletter.
Couldn't resist!
Now, here I am, with a Beehive profile and a Deskless Newsletter on LinkedIn.
Fast forward three days. I'm on my LinkedIn Newsletter Page.
44 subscribers???
How???
Who are these brave souls, and what do they expect me to write about?
That's when {confession #2} hit me — I often start things without expecting any outcome.
Guess my love for setting things up explains my collection of 23 unused domains.
So, why am I here?
Great question! Love it!!! {smiling while trying to think of an answer}
I'm here to face my fears, share my knowledge {I promise I know a thing or two},
and, hopefully, provide a weekly takeaway.
Here's what you can expect every Tuesday
until I decide otherwise:
1. Online Tools & Apps: I'll spotlight a tool that can simplify your life.
2. ChatGPT Prompts: As an AI enthusiast, I'll share my favorite ChatGPT prompts (commands) to train your AI assistant.
3. Remote Jobs: I'll curate a list of fascinating remote jobs I've found.
4. Confessions: Expect raw, authentic stories about my journey in building Deskless and Academy. For the past 10 years, I've been a part of the online industry, supporting some of the big names in the digital realm. Yet, becoming a digital creator myself is a new chapter for me. It's as fresh as it gets, and naturally, it comes with a fair share of self-doubt, desperation, anxiety, confusion, obsession, and even loneliness (confession #3).
After all, building a business is a solitary journey.
So, brace yourself, I'll never run out of confessions to share! :)
5. Resources: I'll share interesting finds from other creators' newsletters—insights you might not stumble upon in your usual browsing.
Promises aren't my favorite thing {confession#4}, but I promise to stay Me.
You'll always face 'Kat' here, in all her authenticity.
You'll find me sharing my journey, complete with its highs and lows. I'm just as nervous as you may be at the starting line.
I stumble, get lost in the maze of backlinks and SEO optimization, and spend countless hours on sign-up forms
and email campaigns, only to realize there's no one to send them to. But despite it all, I persist, sharing consistently
with the hope of sparking genuine engagement—maybe in a year or so :))).
I find motivation in inspirational success stories, reminding myself that even Rome wasn't built in a day.
You'll find the real me here because elsewhere, I have to put on a confident front and hold it all together.
so relieved, and just a click away,
Kat
