Have you come across the buzzing trend - the 'Success Laws'?
One particular law suggests: "1. Stop telling people your plans. When you overshare, you hinder your own progress. Keep things private and win."
I, for one, decided to challenge this law. Sharing is a personal choice. To me, sharing forms the essence of the experience, aiding in organizing thoughts and often leading to forming supportive connections. People often offer advice, experience, and assistance, and sometimes they even want to collaborate!
Sharing your plans can be liberating. It gives others an understanding of why you're constantly occupied and prompts them to respect your space as you chase your dreams.
Now, let's talk about oversharing - who came up with that? Who's keeping score? How does one measure what's too much or too little? Isn't it up to the audience to decide how much they want to consume and up to you how much to share? Feel like sharing a lot today? Go for it!
And if tomorrow you decide to go AWOL, no worries!
Now, back to My MasterPlan Mondays!
I'm out and about on my much-anticipated Family Reunion Part 1 trip. But does that stop me from pulling out my Master Plan? Nope!
You're warmly invited to join me in planning your week ahead.
29th Monday - Just wrapped up a morning class (Did I mention that I teach Casual American English?). Next, I'm jumping headfirst into my Tuesday Confessions Newsletter, handpicking remote jobs and prompts to share with all you lovely humans. I also need to whip up a rough sketch for Wednesday's and Thursday's content. Fingers crossed, I'll have time to make the first visit to the Hermitage with the kiddos.
30th Tuesday - On today's agenda is refining content for the rest of the week and taking a breezy tour around the city to soak in the vistas from famous rooftops and lobbies of St. Petersburg.
31st Wednesday - Today's excitement includes diving into the LinkedIn certified program (It's FREE, y'all!) for LinkedIn Ads. Sounds promising, eh? Oh, and there's content to be penned down for Friday.
1st Thursday - Today, I let loose on the internet. I've found that having one day of the week (as much as time permits right now) solely for surfing, keeping tabs on cool people, and skimming through newsletters in my inbox keeps me focused on other days. This way, I don't lose myself in the World of Wide Web.
2nd Friday - Time for a digital detox! I'll be off the grid until Monday, soaking up the moments with my family in St. Petersburg. I'm all for the wonders of the virtual world, but family time? That’s vital. Going offline doesn't faze me. The internet’s not going anywhere, but a missed Sunday dinner with the family isn’t something Google can bring back.
